Equestrian Ambassador

Stuart Erskine grew up in a rural area of South Africa and was introduced to polo through his father, Andrew. After finishing school, he headed to the United States to make his way into the polo world. Several generous colleagues helped Stuart transition from South African to US Polo for which he is very grateful. After much hard work in the years to follow, he became known and respected as a talented and accomplished player. Erskine has been on winning teams in the US Open, Camara, Gold cup, Pacific Coast Open, East Coast Open, Yillvasaca, Joe Barry and Silver cup. Although much of his polo career has taken place in the US and Argentina, he credits many of his greatest lessons from competing alongside (both with and against) the best players in tournaments all over the world. Brigitte, Stuart’s wife, and his two young sons are very supportive of his career. Having also grown up around horses, she understands the rigors of the travel inherent in polo. Stuart shares, “I’ve been very lucky to be given so much from horses and am always looking for those unique horses that are natural polo ponies, which takes up most of our time.”
